Concept of fluidity & flow is a design philosophy that embraces the dynamic and organic nature of flowing lines and curved forms within interior spaces. By injecting the concept into a cosy long-rectangular layout seeks to create a sense of movement, harmony, and visual interest by incorporating curvilinear elements throughout the design. This concept offers a departure from traditional angular and linear designs, instead embracing the beauty and fluidity of curves. By incorporating flowing lines, rounded forms, and sinuous pathways, this concept creates a visually captivating and harmonious interior that encourages movement, comfort, and a sense of well-being.

Concept of open-ness is a design philosophy that embraces the idea of spaciousness, connectivity, and freedom within the interior spaces, fostering a sense of unity between different areas of a space. By emphasizing flexibility and all-round circulation, the design encourages a fluid movement, allowing for smooth and uninterrupted circulation throughout the space. Injecting the use of natural materials in a subtle modern wabi-sabi concept adds warmth and depth to the space while celebrating their inherent qualities, resulting in an interior that exudes both timeless elegance and a sense of personal history.

THE TAPESTRY CONDOMINIUM

A small but cosy hangout space for a bachelor pad; creating a loft within an apartment loft. Clear segregation of the private and communal hangout space, giving the home a whole new personality shift between the private and the breakout areas. Concealed doors with lattice patterns blending into the TV feature wall brings the focus in the living room. Behind the concealed doors reveals a double loft bed with a generous study desk with storage doubling the spatial floor space available.

A monochrome minimalistic concept approach brings in a timeless identity to an interior. With the personalised decoration items brought into the space, it indicates the existence of the current timeframe, changing as time flows. An alfresco dining experience looking out to a scenic facing a steam leading to the reservoir nearby maximizes the usage of the balcony, a cohesive environment for interactions in the dining and living area while the family hangs out their own zone of space.

A warm monochromatic concept with an accent matching marble feature to inject elegance and modernity into the living space. The display cabinet is designed to fit the corridor space without adding clutter-ness to the overall spatial outlook.

SIMS DRIVE

Owners were a newly wed couple who looks into details in simplicity. This projects involves alteration works to the existing interior layout, breaking the existing odd-shape frontal living area to the link space to the different accommodations. Our design breaks open an existing store and half a master bedroom to create porosity; Open, connected and interactive interior spaces. This also allows natural light to penetrate the entire house allowing the home owners to experience a feeling of lightness. Functionality has also been a great concern in the designing of the space. A wardrobe sized store has been compensated at the back of the master walk-in wardrobe with concealment of the dining feature wall.

YISHUN GREENWALK

A Co-Designed project with a industrial designer, son of the middle aged homeowners. Moving on with the concept of their retirement home, personality of a humble country is injected into the space. Hacking down the bedroom and the kitchen walls connects the spaces with the same design language. Use of rattan, solid wood, brass finishes and splash of blue gives the home an approach of modern countryside image. Lighting of the space is also made interchangeable from daylight to warmlight which changes the ambiance of the space between different timeframe of the day.

A play of pastel primary colours are used as the feature of the living and dining walls to inter-connect the spaces together carrying the playful personality of the young couple. Homeowners are a family of 5 with 3 young children, the spatial layout caters for much floor space with minimal loose furniture for the children to play within the safe range at home. An open concept kitchen with built-in dining table allows for parents to have full vision of the children while being kept busy in their separate spaces. Having a built-in dining table also allows design details to be explored, having a pull out drawer as a duo use of a structural support as well as a usable storage space.

Clean bold contrast of woodgrain textures and white finishes creates an open-ness in the space. Homeowners are a young couple looking for more storage spaces within their home. Having a chamfered edge of the master bedroom and common bedroom allows connectivity between both spaces, opening up the walkway corridor that is commonly under-utilized. Working with the restrictions of Fengshui and the habits of the homeowners, the home now shows the usage and personality of the users of the space.

Owners were a young couple who craves for simplicity & functionality. Looking into the needs of the home owners, both husband and wife are book lovers in which have a extensive collection of books, storage and maintenance has also been an issue for them.
The design intent aims to incorporate concealed book storage for the home owners as well as to express their love for reading with pockets of reading spaces and sufficient lighting in these environment. Have a big factor of space restrictions, an accent tile pattern is proposed to draw the attention of the user eye to widen the space visually. The designed pattern has been tested out to ideally fit the space to enhance the visual factor. Wood grain look alike tiles are used throughout the space to magnify the home owner's love for nature and also to bring in liveliness into the space.

The handle-less design and taller opening gaps are ergonomically designed to child-proof. Muted bold blue in harmony of the dark woodgrain finishes contrast with the white negative spaces to strike a balance between the dark and light, bringing out the openness of the home.
